Follow these simple steps to set up and connect your smart plug:
Step 1: Download the app
Download the right app for your smart plug. Search in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for the name of the app and install it on your smartphone.
Step 2: Register an account
Open the app after installation and follow the instructions to register an account. This allows you to synchronize your devices and control them from anywhere. Free of charge, of course.
Step 3: Add device
Log in and tap the “Add devices” button on the start page.
Step 4: Select device type
Select Smart Plug (BLE+Wi-Fi) from the list of available devices to continue.
Step 5: Select WLAN connection method
Decide on the WLAN connection method as your preferred setup method.
Step 6: Check LED display
Check that the LED on the smart plug is flashing rapidly. This indicates that the device is in pairing mode and is ready.
Step 7: Reset the device (if necessary)
If the LED does not flash quickly, reset the device by pressing and holding the reset button on the plug until the LED starts to flash.
Step 8: Confirm pairing mode
Repeat the reset procedure (step 7) if the LED is still not flashing. Make sure that the device is in pairing mode before continuing.
Step 9: Enter WLAN access data
Enter the name (SSID) and password of your Wi-Fi network in the app to connect the Smart Plug to your home network. Make sure to use a 2.4 GHz network.
Step 10: Device is paired
The app needs a few seconds to connect the smart plug to the network. Please be patient while the connection is being established.
Step 11: Setup completed
Once the device has been successfully added, a confirmation message will appear in the app. You can now control your Treez Tools Smart Plug via the app!
